Moving help from local taskers
Leases in many Canadian cities turn over on the first of the month, and in Quebec most of them on July 1, so moving help gets busy fast. Post your move on Taskeeu and taskers nearby can bid for the loading, carrying and unloading.
Say how many rooms you are moving, whether you have a truck, and if the building needs an elevator booking. Condo moves often have set time slots, so share yours.
Typical jobs
- Load or unload a rental truck
- Carry boxes and furniture up walk-up stairs
- Help with a condo move during a booked elevator slot
- Move a couch or appliance within the home
- Pack a kitchen into boxes
- Move items into a storage locker
- Help a student move into residence
- Disassemble and reassemble a bed frame for a move
Tips
- List the large items and the number of boxes.
- Say whether there are stairs, an elevator, or a long walk from parking.
- Share the elevator booking window for condo buildings.
- Say who provides the truck and dollies.
Agree who supplies the truck, blankets and dollies, how long the job should take, and what happens if the elevator booking runs late. In winter, mention icy steps or snowbanks near the loading spot.

Frequently asked questions
Do taskers bring a truck?
Some do. If you need one, say so in your post so bids include it. Otherwise rent one and ask for loading help only.
Can I book help for July 1 in Montreal?
Yes, but post early. Moving day in Quebec is one of the busiest days of the year for movers and helpers.
What about building rules?
Many condos require an elevator booking and sometimes a deposit. Book it before posting and share the time slot with your tasker.
Can taskers pack for me?
Yes. Packing and unpacking can be a task on its own or part of the move. Say who supplies the boxes and tape.
How is payment handled?
You pay the agreed price into Taskeeu's secure hold, and release it with your completion code once everything is in place.
